Trying to get consistent wall thickness during high-speed PET blowing is a nightmare if your thermal control is off. In a Husky HyPET system, the preform has to hit a very specific temperature before it ever touches the blow mold.
The problem? Most heating just sits on the surface. You end up with a preform that&rsquo;s scorched on the outside but cold in the middle. We fixed that by redesigning our heating modules to push infrared (IR) energy deeper into the material. You get a uniform melt without burning the plastic.</p>
